Have you had a psychedelic experience that left you feeling curious, emotionally moved, confused, or unsure about what comes next? Perhaps you experienced something meaningful during a psychedelic journey, but you're finding it difficult to understand how it relates to your everyday life.
Or maybe your experience was challenging, and you would like a supportive space to explore what happened.
Psychedelic integration therapy can offer an opportunity to reflect on your experience with the support of a qualified psychotherapist. With online sessions, you can access support from the comfort of your own home, wherever you are in Ontario.
I’m Harry Vetro, RP(Q), a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) offering online psychotherapy and psychedelic integration support. My work focuses on creating a space where you can explore your experience at your own pace, without pressure to arrive at a particular interpretation or outcome.
What Is Psychedelic Integration Therapy?
Psychedelic integration is a process of reflecting on, exploring, and making sense of a psychedelic experience. It can involve examining emotions, insights, memories, relationships, and changes in perspective that emerged during or after the experience.
A psychedelic experience does not always come with a clear explanation. You might feel that something important happened, but struggle to put it into words. You might have questions about an experience that felt spiritual, emotional, frightening, or deeply personal.
Integration therapy provides a space to explore these questions.
Rather than telling you what your experience means, integration work can support you in developing your own understanding. This may include exploring how your experience relates to your current life, what you want to carry forward, and whether any aspects of the experience remain difficult to process.
Who Can Benefit From Psychedelic Integration Support?
People seek integration support for a variety of reasons. There is no single type of psychedelic experience or person who seeks this kind of support.
You might be considering online psychedelic integration therapy if:
You had a meaningful or transformative psychedelic experience and want to explore its significance.
You experienced difficult emotions, fear, or confusion during a psychedelic journey.
You are struggling to incorporate insights from an experience into your daily life.
You participated in ketamine-assisted therapy and would like additional support processing the experience.
You want to explore how a psychedelic experience relates to your relationships, identity, or personal values.
You would like a professional space to reflect on an experience without feeling judged or pressured.
You do not need to have a particular type of experience or a specific goal before reaching out. We can begin by exploring what brings you to therapy and what kind of support you are looking for.
Can Psychedelic Integration Therapy Be Done Online?
Yes. Psychedelic integration psychotherapy can be offered through secure video sessions, provided that virtual care is clinically appropriate for the individual and the therapist's practice requirements.
Online therapy can make it easier to access support without travelling to a clinic. This can be particularly useful for people living outside larger urban centres or those who prefer the privacy and convenience of their own home.
I offer online support for individuals across Ontario, subject to applicable registration, practice, and service eligibility requirements.
Virtual sessions may provide an opportunity to:
Reflect on your psychedelic experience in a familiar environment.
Explore emotions and insights through conversation.
Identify practical ways to connect your experience with your everyday life.
Develop a therapeutic relationship without needing to attend an in-person office.
Online therapy is not the right fit for every situation. We can discuss your needs and whether virtual sessions are an appropriate option during an initial consultation.
What Happens During an Online Psychedelic Integration Session?
There is no fixed script for psychedelic integration therapy. Your experience, goals, and current circumstances help guide the work.
An initial session may involve exploring what brought you to therapy, what you experienced, and what you would like support with. You may want to talk about specific moments from a psychedelic journey, changes in how you see yourself, or emotions that have surfaced since the experience.
Depending on your needs, sessions may include:
Exploring your experience. We can reflect on what happened, how you experienced it, and what questions or feelings remain.
Working with emotions. We can explore emotions that emerged during or after the experience, including experiences that feel difficult to understand or integrate.
Connecting insights to everyday life. We can consider how your experience relates to your relationships, choices, values, and ongoing personal development.
Developing greater self-understanding. Psychotherapy may provide space to explore different parts of your experience, including conflicting emotions, internal tensions, or patterns you have noticed.
The intention is not to force a particular outcome or assume that every psychedelic experience must lead to personal transformation. Sometimes integration involves understanding what happened. Sometimes it involves making space for uncertainty or seeking further support.
Integrating a Difficult Psychedelic Experience
Not every psychedelic experience feels positive or meaningful in an immediately understandable way.
Some people describe experiences involving fear, vulnerability, emotional overwhelm, or confronting difficult memories. Others may feel unsettled afterward or find themselves repeatedly thinking about what happened.
A difficult experience does not necessarily mean that something has gone wrong, but persistent distress deserves attention and appropriate support.
Psychotherapy may offer a space to explore what you are experiencing and consider ways to move forward. This can include examining the emotional impact of the experience, identifying what feels unresolved, and developing strategies that support your well-being.
If you are experiencing significant or ongoing changes in your mental state, severe distress, or other concerning symptoms following psychedelic use, medical or mental health assessment may also be appropriate. Psychedelic integration therapy is not a substitute for urgent medical or psychiatric care.
Ketamine-Assisted Therapy and Psychedelic Integration
Ketamine-assisted therapy can involve preparation, the ketamine experience itself, and follow-up support. Integration may be one part of the broader process of reflecting on and working with what emerged.
If you have participated in ketamine-assisted therapy through a clinic, you may want additional psychotherapy support to explore your experience between or after treatment sessions.
My training includes ketamine-assisted therapy (KAT) preparation and integration through Field Trip Health. My role is to provide support within the scope of my psychotherapy practice. I do not independently administer ketamine or prescribe medication.
If you are currently receiving ketamine treatment, we can discuss your existing care and how integration support might fit alongside it.
Finding an Online Psychedelic Integration Therapist in Ontario
If you are looking for a psychedelic integration therapist in Ontario, it may be helpful to consider both the therapist's professional qualifications and their approach to psychedelic experiences.
Here are some questions you might ask when exploring your options:
Is the therapist qualified to provide psychotherapy?
Look for information about professional registration, training, and the scope of the services being offered.
Does the therapist offer online sessions?
Confirm whether virtual appointments are available and whether they can work with clients in your location.
Does their approach fit your needs?
Some therapists may focus on emotional processing, trauma-informed care, mindfulness, or other therapeutic approaches. Consider what kind of support you are looking for.
Can you talk openly about your experience?
You may want a therapist who can explore your experience without imposing a specific spiritual, psychological, or personal interpretation.
Finding a therapist is a personal decision. An initial conversation can help you determine whether the service and therapeutic approach are appropriate for you.

About Harry Vetro, RP(Q)
I’m Harry Vetro, a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) based in the Niagara region of Ontario.
My psychotherapy practice offers a space to explore your experiences with curiosity, compassion, and respect for your autonomy. I draw on my clinical training and developing experience with approaches including Internal Family Systems (IFS) and EMDR, where appropriate to the client's needs and the scope of my practice.
I have completed ketamine-assisted therapy preparation and integration training through Field Trip Health. I also have training from Therapsil in Psilocybin Assisted Psychotherapy. My interest in psychedelic integration comes from a broader commitment to helping people explore their experiences and develop a deeper understanding of themselves.
Psychedelic integration is not about telling you what your experience means or prescribing a particular way of living. It is about making room for exploration and considering how therapy might support you in the process.
Frequently Asked Questions About Psychedelic Integration Therapy in Ontario
How do I find a psychedelic integration therapist in Ontario?
You can search for therapists offering psychedelic integration psychotherapy and review their professional qualifications, virtual service availability, and therapeutic approach. If you are interested in online support, ask whether they work with clients in your location and whether their services fit your needs.
How much does online psychedelic integration therapy cost in Ontario?
The cost varies depending on the therapist, session length, and practice. Contact the therapist directly to ask about current rates, payment options, and whether your insurance plan may cover psychotherapy.
Do I need to have had a psychedelic experience to seek integration therapy?
Integration services are generally intended for people who have had an experience they want to explore. If you are considering psychedelic use and want to discuss preparation or your reasons for seeking support, you can ask a qualified provider whether they offer services appropriate to your situation.
